"The Caspian Heritage" a unique underwater archeology exhibition waits its visitors

On March 17th, 2023, on the occasion of the "Year of Heydar Aliyev" and the 165th anniversary of the establishment of the Azerbaijan Caspian Sea Shipping, the opening ceremony of the unique underwater archeology exhibition "Caspian Heritage" was held in the "Surakhani" ship-museum, the first tanker-museum in the world. its uniqueness is made up of the exhibits displayed here - the artefacts discovered by underwater archaeologists from the bottom of the Caspian Sea.

The Secretary General of Azerbaijan Tourist Guides Association, Mr. Tural Musayev, and his delegation, managers and employees of "Azerbaijan Caspian Sea Shipping" CJSC (ASCO), Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, National Museum of Azerbaijan History, as well as public representatives, journalists participated in the opening ceremony of the exhibition. they did.

Within the framework of the exhibition, the presentation of the catalog of the exhibition and for the first time the "Guide book" of the "Surakhani" ship-museum was also held.

At the exhibition, visitors will get information about the submerged cities of Azerbaijan, sunken medieval ships, the rich culture of our country and multifaceted trade relations.

The "Legacy of the Caspian" underwater archeology exhibition will be interesting for every citizen interested in the history and culture of Azerbaijan, as well as for guests of our country.
