An info tour to “Tamiz Shahar” OJSC and Balakhani Industrial Park was organized for tourist guides.

Azerbaijan Tourist Guides Association with the support of the Azerbaijan Tourism Board organized an info tour for their members to "Tamiz Shahar" OJSC and Balakhani Industrial Park on March 13th. Tourist guides got acquainted with the projects and works carried out by "Tamiz Shahar" OJSC. During the info tour, the guides were given detailed information about the work carried out in waste management, proper management, and recycling in Balakhany Solid Household Waste Sorting and incineration plants, as well as in the Balakhany Industrial Park.

It was reported that part of the solid household waste collected in Baku city is handed over to the Waste Sorting Plant. Recycled metal, glass, plastic, paper, etc. are among the waste sorted here, materials are separated from the general mass, and sent as raw materials to Balakhany Industrial Park and other recycling facilities.

Also, it was brought to the attention of the guides that "Tamiz Shahar" OJSC operates in the territories freed from occupation, and the work done in this region in order to build modern infrastructure for proper waste management.

It was said that these activities are essential at a time when environmental problems are worrying the whole world.
