ATM 2021 (Arabian Travel Market 2021), an international tourism exhibition held in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates on May 16, for the first time during the pandemic period, promoted the tourism potential of Azerbaijan, the liberated Karabakh region, especially Shusha.
Florian Zengstshmith, Chief Executive Officer of the Azerbaijan Tourism Bureau, said that the tourism exhibition in the Middle East, which was held a year and a half later during the pandemic, was a positive start for the post-pandemic period.
Florian Zengstschmit noted that the exhibition, organized by the State Tourism Agency and the Azerbaijan Tourism Bureau, was attended by 9 local partners representing the country's tourism sector, including Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) and the Heydar Aliyev International Airport.
Bahruz Asgarov, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Azerbaijan Tourism Bureau, noted that the exhibition served as a good platform to introduce Karabakh as a new tourism destination and to inform participants about it in detail. He said the exhibitors showed great interest in the Karabakh region.
Azerbaijan is represented by a national stand covering an area of 100 square meters at the international exhibition, which is organized taking into account the rules of social isolation in a pandemic.
